LITIGATION EXPERIENCE

Primarily engaged in civil litigation for 43 years. Handled civil litigation in state and federal courts in Massachusetts and in Federal Courts in Maine, Connecticut, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and Oklahoma. On the appellate level appeared before the Massachusetts State Appellate Courts and before the Federal Courts of Appeal for the First, Fourth, Fifth and Tenth Circuits.

Experience in litigation in federal and state courts, both in Massachusetts and elsewhere, at the trial and appellate levels. Experience includes diverse types of civil litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. Experience in litigating business contractual disputes, construction litigation and arbitration, anti-trust, trademark infringement, libel and slander, broker's commission, eminent domain, zoning, negligence, personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, automobile design defect, insurance coverage issues and various other types of litigation disputes.

CONSTRUCTION LITIGATION AND ARBITRATION

Approximately 35% of practice over last 25 years devoted to construction related litigation and/or arbitration. Experience in construction-related disputes includes representation of contractors, subcontractors, ownees and developers in various litigation and arbitration claims involving diverse aspects of construction. Experience also includes sitting as an arbitrator in matters brought before the American Arbitration Association, Construction Section since 1991.
